Richard Bland "Dick" Duncan, 84, died May 30, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital, Tucson, AZ. Dick was born on October 26, 1939, in Moline, IL, to F. Bland and Darlene M. (Brady) Duncan. He was educated in Moline schools, graduating from Moline High School in 1957. He attended Augustana College for 1 year before transferring to Illinois State University, receiving his Bachelor's degree in mathematics education in 1964.Dick's employment began in high school at Mayer & Johnson's menswear store, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Post college he taught and coached basketball for 2 years at high schools in Ohio, IL, and Mt. Morris, IL. In 1966, Dick began his career with Deere and Company as a mechanical engineer. He spent the majority of his years at Plow-Planter works and retired in 1999.Richard Duncan married Doris Erickson in 1959. They raised 2 children before they eventually divorced.
