Sarah J. Simonton, 80, of East Peoria, passed away peacefully on June 19, 1924, at her home. She was born in Pekin on June 19, 1944, to Joe and Dortha Babington. She married Larry Simonton in 1964; he preceded her in death on November 3, 2019.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Sommer of Princeville and Desiree (Jason) Scoby of East Peoria; her grandson, Seaver Sommer; her lifelong friend, Janet (Gary) Sharp of Chillicothe.
Sarah worked as a planning assembler for Caterpillar for 37 years.
She loved riding her Harley and was a member of the Harley Owners Group. She enjoyed all the social activities associated with riding and the friendships she made along the way.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria is assisting the family.
