Michael Peter Goldsmith, 66, of Morton, IL, passed away at 4:37 am on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Carle Health-Methodist Hospital in Peoria, IL.
He was born on May 21, 1958, in Peoria, IL, to Frank R. and Wanda L. (Ridings) Goldsmith.
Surviving are his son, Jason Goldsmith of Cedar Rapids, IA; daughter, Alicia Goldsmith of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Jayvion, Jalycia, Ja'Niyah, and Jaliyah Goldsmith; two sisters, Marcia (Gary) Hedrick of San Antonio, TX and Jennifer (Dan) Vonachen of Peoria, IL; four nieces, Elizabeth (Brian) Nowotny, Sarah Hedrick, Olivia Vonachen, and Natalie (Billy) Crowley; one nephew, Michael (Rachel) Hedrick; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; step-father, Richard Edwards of Washington, IL; and three step-siblings, Rich Edwards, Jr. and Carol (Kurt) Smeltzer both of Washington, IL and Jeff Edwards of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Michael graduated from Metamora High School in 1976. He worked for Bankers Life & Casualty Insu
