GOODFIELD – Roy W. Wyss, 97, of Goodfield, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka. He was born on February 25, 1927, in Deer Creek, Ill., to Edward and Julia (Schick) Wyss. Roy married Arlene Kuntz on March 7, 1954, in Gridley, Ill. She preceded him in death on October 18, 1979. He later married Shirley Knapp on August 24, 1980, in Cissna Park, Ill. She preceded him in death on May 20, 2024. Roy was also preceded in death by one infant brother; his brother, Carl Wyss and one grandson, Justin Wyss. Roy is survived by four children Marcia (Gerry) Waibel, Bruce (Donna) Wyss, Dale (Susie) Wyss and Chad Wyss; nine grandchildren, Kelli (Nathan) Pritts, Nicholas (Sandra) Waibel, Austin (Karis) Waibel, Phillip (Kristin) Wyss, Benjamin (Laurel) Wyss, Caleb (Bethany) Wyss, Jared (Haley) Wyss, Josh (Jenn) Wyss, Mindy (David) Stalter; 40 great-grandchildren; sister, Madelyn Rothgeb of Roanoke; and one sister-in-law, Lydianne Wyss of Washington.
