PEORIA – Nancy E. Melton, 79, of Peoria, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on May 5, 1945, in LaHarpe, Illinois, to Harry and Helen (Pocock) Daniel. Nancy married Robert Melton on May 10, 1974, in Carthage, Illinois. Surviving are her husband, Robert of Peoria; children, Cindi (Chuck) Dailey of Plainfield, Ind. and Kim (Chris) Rocke of Morton; daughter-in-law, Tracey Daniel of Forest Lake, Minn.; grandchildren, Jessica Daniel, Kayla (Tony) Hnilicka, Jaimie (Amilia) Marigold, Ezra Rocke, Breanna (Garrett) Wagner, Nick Daniel and Danny Roman; great-grandchildren, Reese and Cora Hnilicka, Arlo Wagner; and one sister, Judy Smith. She was preceded in death by one son, Mike Daniel and brother-in-law, Roger Smith. Nancy worked at Caterpillar in medical claims for over 30 years. Nancy loved rescue animals and pets. She enjoyed doing crafts, especially small houses and bead work, sewing and gardening. Nancy loved baking pies and
