DEER CREEK – Bobby "Bob" Nelson, 74, of Morton, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born on February 14, 1950, in Princeton, Illinois, to Arden and Anna Mae (Anderson) Nelson. Bob married Nancy Rote on October 6, 1973, in Princeton, Illinois. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Nelson of Deer Creek; sons, Eric (Leslie) Nelson of Germantown Hills and Todd (Shayla) Nelson of Claremont, North Carolina; grandchildren, Kaylee and Kolson Nelson and Arden "AJ" and Abilene "Abbi" Nelson; sister, Judy Fiste of Malden, Illinois; sister-in-law, Diane (Jeff) Schieber of Carlock, Illinois; and nephews, Keith Fiste, Korey (Jen) Fiste, Michael (Tina) Bell and Chad Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Loren and Doris Rote and brother-in-law, Wayne Fiste.
