Catherine "Cathy" (Baima) Zimmer Born: July 31, 1937 Died: March 4, 2025 MORTON – Catherine "Cathy" (Baima) Zimmer, 87, of Morton, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on July 31, 1937, in Oglesby, Illinois, to Philip and Emma (Picco) Baima. Cathy married Joseph Zimmer, Jr. on April 7, 1956, in Oglesby. He preceded her in death on October 22, 2015. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Ellis. Surviving are her children, Donald (Wendy) Zimmer of Nolensville, Tennessee, Donna (John) Patterson of Morton and Debbie (Rich) Mathey of Oglesby, Illinois; grandchildren, Austin Rauch, Tyler Patterson, Jess Patterson and Brandi Balensiefen; great-grandchild, Hallie Louise Rauch and brother, John Baima. Cathy worked at Heritage Manor in Peru, Bergner's at the Peru Mall and Lighted Way in LaSalle. After retiring, she volunteered at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
