Joyce answered heaven's call on March 7, 2025, at age 94, to join her 7 siblings and son Gene (GW) Stockton, who passed on November 1, 2021 at age 66.
Her husband of 27 years, Leonard O. Stockton and later her husband of 30 years, Robert Hoffman also predeceased her.
She is survived by her daughter Rita (Jim) Wise of Santa Cruz CA, daughter-in-law Diane Stockton of Edelstein, 4 adult grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, Ian, Natalie, Edison, Sequoia, Nala, Lana, and Harper.
Joyce had been a homemaker, telephone operator, bookkeeper, seamstress, and Sears decorator. She was very athletic, playing high school sports, coaching girls softball at Roland Manor Church as an adult, and playing volleyball as a senior. In retirement, she became a Master Gardener and avid Elderhostel traveler. Although very smart and funny, Joyce will be remembered most for her laughter and feistiness!
