Dorothy Mae Watts, 93, of Washington, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Washington Senior Living.
She was born on August 16, 1931 in Jacksonville, IL to the late Helen (Patterson) Smith and Clyde Ashford Smith. She married Charles H. Watts on November 6, 1949 in Concord, IL. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1998.
Also preceding her in death were her children, Ronald and Carolyn Watts; a brother; a sister; a granddaughter; a great granddaughter; and a great grandson.
She is survived by her sons, Bill (Janice) Watts of Washington, IL, and Kenneth Watts of Austin, TX; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 30 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy spent many years of her life working for the Miss Heart of Illinois and Miss Illinois pageants. She was on the Board of Directors of the Members Choice Credit Union, and a member of the Washington Women's Business Association. She was known to be a devout Cardinals fan.
