Kathy Grabel, 66, of Washington, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, March 24, 2025.
She was born March 10, 1959 in Peoria to the late Charles and Virginia Hobin Hausam. She grew up in a large, loving family that included 11 siblings: Margaret H. Ryan, Tom (Sue) Hausam, Nan (Steve) Powers, Phil (Angie) Hausam, Chuck (Anne) Hausam, Teri (Bob) Larson, Mary (Dave) Cowan, Julie (Carl) Niemeier, Ann Sutter, and Sheila (Bob) Davis, all who survive, and Chris Hausam, who has preceded her in death.
On August 11, 1984, she was united in marriage to Robert A. Grabel in Peoria, sharing over 40 wonderful, devoted years with him.
Together, Kathy and Bob raised two precious, kind children, Peter Grabel (Sara Frye) and Faye (Keith) Clark, watching their family grow to include a beautiful source of love and fulfillment in their grandchildren, Jamie and Elliott, who meant the world to her.
